ACANA® recently surveyed 2,000 Pet Lovers regarding the social life of their dogs during the pandemic, and some of the results were surprising—puppy love is real, and we can show our dogs love in so many different ways!
38% of respondents reported that the number of puppy playdates they schedule for their dog has increased since the pandemic started, and over half have even played “matchmaker” for their pet at the park or another location. Giving our pets ample opportunities to meet and play with others is a great way to show them how much we love them.
Fun fact: 56% of pet parents surveyed admitted referring to another dog as their own dog’s significant other!
These statistics indicate that Pet Parents know how important socialization is for their dogs.
